Story of the World Volume 1 Introduction

I've always loved history and never felt there was enough time to dig deep and explore different parts of history. I'm so excited to be teaching this subject. We chose Story of the World primarily because it focuses on the younger age and are loving it so far! We start the week off by listening to the audio version of the chapter and answering the questions along with having Mac narrate back to me what she's learning. Mainly doing the suggested activities in the activity book.

For the introduction we also read Me and My Family Tree and then made a family tree, Archaeologists Dig for Clues and I can Be an Archaeologist, along with watching the archeology episode of Magic School Bus. She was really surprised to see how quickly her family got bigger and bigger.

We also have to do the dirty dig activity with just a few simple items around the house.

In the end, I think the kids might be digging up coins for awhile. That or we will find them next year when we go to plant.
