Valentine's Day

Since we had co-op on Valentine's, I did the Valentine's food a day early, but the girls didn't mind. I did heart pancakes and bacon hearts for breakfast. Ellie ate at least three of each!

Then we had heart shaped grilled cheese for lunch with red pepper hearts.

Valentine's Party 2014

We joined a co-op this semester. I felt I was getting a little closed in with the rainy cold weather and needed an outlet for both girls. We met on Valentine's day for co-op and a party! Mac helped me decorate a mailbox. Ours was a boat but there were many other creative boxes! Ellie is admiring.

Mac decorated cookies there and both girls posed for pics. Ellie is in the stage of wanting to come see the picture before it's taken!

The Sochi Olympics

Our family loves watching the Olympics- from the opening ceremony, to the stories told about the great Olympians, to the different events they compete in. Mac's favorite were the figure skaters by far but mostly only wanted to watch the Americans.

I thought a few Olympic crafts would be better suited than Valentine's crafts this year.

We had to start with the Olympic symbol made from tissue paper.

Then a torch for the Opening Ceremony.

And we did a 3D ski jump. Skiing is our family's favorite sport!

And of course an Olympic themed snack with a friend.
