SOTW V1 Ch2 Egyptians Lived on the Nile River

I've always loved Egyptian history so it's so fun to be going through this material. Since this was our first map, we made a cookie map to get the layout of the terrain. I just used a store bought sugar cookie dough and decorated with different icing.

 It's been really helpful to look at each chapter from different angles- reading the chapter, looking at the Usborne book, color page, extra books (this chapter Egyptian Treasures: Mummies and Myths, Your Life as a Pharoah in Egypt) and the projects. Everytime we read an Egyptian themed book with the red and white crown her eyes light up because she remembers she's learning that from the chapter. We also did the white crown and added the egyptian gold collar craft. Ellie got in on the action this time too.
