SOTW V2 Ch. 25-32

Ch. 26 Bowling for the Crown and Finding the Dauphin- which I have to say is super hard because Mac has a thousand stuffed animals!

Ch. 32 Grinding Maize- although it seemed pretty easy, the amount one would have to do to have enough to make bread or a cake would be a ton!

SOTW V2 Ch. 23-24

Ch. 23 Made borscht, which surprisingly everyone loved and did the bread and salt greeting.

Ch. 24 Just in time for Easter- edible Byzantine Crosses. Painted crosses with the egg tempera they used for painting.

Mac made a Turkish Dancing Bear. We also watched a youtube video of Russians that still train bears today.

Lots for this chapter. She also made a lion head to guard our home.

SOTW V2 Ch. 22 Exploring the Mysterious East

Ch. 22 Traveling the Silk Road
Starting off their journey in the hot sun with sunglasses and a hat to find the Taklamakan Desert.

Found a comfy place to rest and snack at Tun-huang-shih.

Had a glass of water at the Gobi Desert.

 Another snack in the Loyang-Shih.

 And rowed the Yellow river.

To find Peking with the Chinese trading goods.

Keeping Ellie busy in the winter months

Ellie has kept busy by playing playing and playing. She is so good, especially when Mac's school takes awhile on certain days. She's also really good about doing her trays with 1+1+1=1 curriculum.

SOTW V2 Ch. 16-21

Ch. 16 We tried to make the edible Norman castle out of rice krispies- yeah that didn't work and I couldn't even take a picture of it. We did have success with making a coin purse.

Ch. 17 Mac designed her own coat of arms. These symbols meant she loves animals, she's a girl, she likes games, likes crafts and our family currently.

Ch. 21 Made a Chinese hanging lantern

SOTW V2 Ch. 13-15

Ch. 13 The tent full of spoils was perfect since hideouts are a major thing at our house. There seems to be a new one in a new place every week.

Ch. 14 We attempted to make Viking Bread.

And Ch. 15 we made Alfred Cakes and a tapestry with stamps.
